I just want to thank God today for allowing me to be a mother.
There is no greater love on earth than the love a parent feels for their child. The miracle of birth and creation is so amazing when you really stop and think about it, and I often do. Those that know me know I am a deep thinker. Sometimes too deep for my own good. I analyze, I reflect, I wonder and I sometimes get lost in these thoughts. See, I'm already off subject, which is my son, Stephen.
He is 18, but he will always be my sweet little son. I had no idea what love was until he came into my life. He is away right now, living his life, which is what should happen as they grow up, but I sure do miss him. He makes me laugh and he warms my heart. It amazes me how the house lights up when he is in it. God has taught me in these last few months that He is faithful. He is more than enough to light up my life when I am feeling sad and missing my son. He's also shown me that His light is shining on my son, wherever he goes. He is our Guiding Light. His Word is a lamp unto our feet.
Lord, thank you for Stephen. Thank you that you are watching over him while I cannot. Thank you that I don't have to worry about him because You love and care for Him far more than I can with my heart of flesh. Thank you for your wisdom and your peace. May you be glorified in everything I do, everything I say and everywhere I go.
